Privacy Policy

Recipe Book is a local-first app. Your recipe library stays on your device unless you choose to export or share it. No account is required.

Data Stored On Device

Recipe Book stores data locally using SQLite and app storage. This may include recipe names and descriptions, purposes, tags, collections, favorites, ingredients, quantities, volumes, units, directions, preparation and cooking times, yields, source links, local recipe photos, recently deleted recipes, and local backups.

Network Activity

Recipe Book accesses the internet only for features you choose to use:

• Importing a recipe from a public HTTPS webpage.
• Loading a remote image referenced by an imported recipe.
• Opening a saved recipe source link in your browser.

The website or image host may receive standard request information such as your IP address and device or browser details. Those services operate under their own privacy policies. Recipe Book does not send your recipe library to the developer.

Camera And Photo Library

If you choose to add a recipe photo, Recipe Book may request access to your camera or photo library. Selected photos are copied into the app's local storage and are not uploaded by Recipe Book.

Sharing And Backups

Sharing a recipe or exporting a JSON backup happens only when you initiate it and choose a destination. Automatic backups remain in the app's local storage. JSON backups contain recipe data but do not embed local photo files.

Data We Do Not Collect Or Send

• We do not operate Recipe Book servers or provide cloud sync for this release.
• We do not include advertising or third-party analytics SDKs.
• We do not track you across apps or websites.
• We do not sell personal information.

Data Retention And Deletion

Recipes remain on your device until you remove them. Deleting a recipe first moves it to Recently Deleted, where it can be restored or deleted forever. Earlier copies may remain in the app's ten rotating local automatic backups until newer backups replace them. Uninstalling the app may remove its remaining local recipes, photos, and backups.

Children's Privacy

Recipe Book is not directed to children under 13.

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the last updated date.
